Project timeline : February 2024 – May 2024

Company : Hôpital du Valais

Team : 1 UX designer, 1 developer, 1 product owner

Responsabilities :

  • User research (interviews, user testing, pain points analysis)
  • Technical collaboration (reviews with developers, feasibility checks)
  • UI/UX Design (low-fi, high-fi mockups, interactive prototypes)
  • User testing (scenarios, usability testing)
  • Documentation (specifications, deliverables)

Problem & Context

HR teams were already using the ServiceNow HR Workspace to manage recruitment processes. However, job applicants mainly interacted with the platform on mobile devices, where the existing experience was not optimized.

The objective was to design a mobile-first recruitment experience for candidates, while ensuring full compatibility with the existing HR Workspace used by recruiters. The solution had to respect platform constraints and deliver a seamless experience across desktop and mobile.

Process

1. User Research

  • Identifying and empathizing with the users (HR, recruiters, candidates)
  • Understanding technical constraints (collaboration with developers, ServiceNow library audit)

2. UX / UI Design

  • Low-fi wireframes (information architecture)
  • High-fi mockups with Figma
  • Technical reviews with the development team (ensuring feasibility)

3. User Testing

  • Realistic scenarios to gain new insights
  • Metrics analysis (task time, clicks, errors)
  • Post-test interviews for qualitative feedback

Deliverables

  • High-fidelity interactive prototypes ready for dev
  • User testing reports
  • Functional and non-functional documentation
  • Assisted the development team in selecting and prioritizing features based on user feedback and business goals
